The 17th Annual World Aquatic Health™ Conference (WAHC) will be held October 14-16, 2020 at the Omni Houston Hotel in Houston. Early registration opens Wednesday, April 1, 2020 on the WAHC website, by email at conference@phta.org, or by calling 719-540-9119.

The WAHC is the premier aquatic research forum presented by the industry’s leading educator, the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA). It is the largest educational conference in the aquatics industry. Professionals from across the globe gather to collaborate, discuss, learn, and network with like-minded specialists, industry leaders and experts.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) supports the, Phase One, formal trade agreement between the United States and China. Unveiled last week, this historic Phase One agreement between the United States and China marks a milestone in the 18 month long United States and China trade war.  The Phase One agreement requires structural reforms and other changes to China’s economic and trade regime in the areas of intellectual property, technology transfer, agriculture, financial services and currency and foreign exchange. Also, it includes a commitment by China to make substantial additional purchases of U.S. goods and services in the coming years.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance announces the appointment of Janay Rickwalder, CAE as the new Vice President of Marketing & Communication, effective Jan. 2, 2020. She is the first person to hold this position under the unified organization. Rickwalder brings extensive strategic development and experience in association marketing and communication.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) announced today its PHTA Education 2019/2020 winter training schedule that includes in-person courses across the country, instructor led courses and 24/7/365 online self-paced courses. Several of our online courses give students the option to customize their training using modular learning. PHTA offers in-demand courses today’s pool and hot tub industry professional need to build their business and career.

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Board of Directors made determinations on PHTA education structure and course format plans for the future. Recommendations were made to address duplicate courses and certifications that came as a result of the unification of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP) and the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF). Most changes will go into effect in 2021.
