Submit a Change Request for Industry Standards and Codes

All PHTA standards undergo regular review and are revised as appropriate to ensure they are up-to-date and relevant. Any individual may submit a request to change any PHTA standard at any time. The request for change will be considered during the next revision cycle. PHTA generally updates each standard at least every four years.

PHTA Standards Undergoing Revision

• ANSI/APSP/ICC-11 2019 American National Standard for Water Quality in Public Pools and Spas
  Requests for change will be accepted on a continuous basis.
• ANSI/APSP/ICC/NPC-12 2016 American National Standard for the Plastering of Swimming Pools and Spas.
  To be revised as PHTA-12 Standard for the Plastering of Swimming Pools and Spas
  Change request deadline for 2024 revision cycle: May 31, 2024

PHTA also compiles change requests for all other pool and spa industry codes. The deadline for submitting changes for the 2027 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) was July 7, 2023. Please contact codes@phta.org with any questions or if you wish to submit a code change request for a different external code.
