Cornell University and Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Announce Executive Leadership Program
(Alexandria, Va.) — The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) has announced the launch of its first cohort of the PHTA Leadership Certificate Program Powered by Cornell University. This program is exclusively for PHTA members and has two tracks, one for executive leaders and a second for emerging leaders.
The PHTA Leadership Certificate Program, developed in collaboration with Cornell University, offers the necessary leadership and management skills that can set a company apart from its competition. The Executive Leaders track focuses on developing the soft skills and strategic mindset that a successful leader needs in order to communicate strategy, negotiate skillfully, influence team behaviors, and deliver results. The Emerging Leaders track helps participants discover their leadership style and hone interpersonal skills to help their team reach its fullest potential. Each track has been personally developed by Cornell University faculty experts.
The program is being offered virtually over a three-month period and includes two live-virtual courses and four on-demand courses that can be completed at the learner’s own pace.
“Supporting our members as they grow in their careers is at the core of what PHTA does,” says Sabeena Hickman, CAE, President and CEO of PHTA. “A pool and hot tub professional with the right leadership skills isn’t just good for that individual—it’s good for the industry as a whole. It raises the bar for their peers, their employees, and even their competitors. We are so excited to launch this new members-only program.”
Registration for the PHTA Leadership Certificate Program is now open. The first virtual course for both tracks begins January 9, 2023, and the final session is on April 12.
