PHTA Day on the Hill

The PHTA Day on the Hill is back this spring - March 29-30, 2023!

Every day, Members of Congress work on legislation that impacts out industry. The PHTA Day on the Hill educates you on how to effectively advocate for the pool, spa and hot tub industry, brings you face-to face with policymakers, and gives you an opportunity to discuss issues important to you. The experience also allows you to build relationships with Congressional offices and convey our industry’s story and the impact we have on the national economy.

The event is $50 (attendees cover their personal travel expenses and hotel).

PHTA and its federal lobbyist DCLRS arranges all meetings on your behalf; from large and small group visits with members of Congress and their staff - we have you covered. All you have to do is show up!

We have reserved a room block at the HILTON WASHINGTON DC NATIONAL MALL THE WHARF 480 L’Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024, which sits atop L’Enfant Metro, near The Wharf for dining.

Travel Details:

Legislative meetings start the morning of Thursday, March 30, 2023, so we recommend you arrive in Washington, D.C. on no later than Wednesday, March 29, 2023, For those of you arriving on March 29th, dinner will be provided (more details to come).

The program will conclude late afternoon on Thursday, March 30, 2023, to accommodate for evening flights on that day. For those traveling long distances, we recommend departing Friday, March 31.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute car ride from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and a 20 minute walk to the Rayburn House Office Building. It's about 0.7 miles from the Rayburn House Office Building to the Senate buildings (10-minute walk). Bring your walking shoes! If you'd rather not walk, taxis/Ubers/Lyfts are readily available.

PHTA provides all attendees with background and leave-behind materials for each meeting, and we'll prep you in advance with material previews and a pre-event webinar. Stay tuned for information on when this will occur.

The DC fly-in is designed to provide each individual with a valuable experience; from those who have never been to the Hill, to the veterans who've traveled every hallway. PHTA will tailor meetings to each person to make sure your voice is used effectively.
