Building onto an existing project is very different than starting from scratch, which is why taking on a pool remodeling project can be a rewarding, yet daunting, endeavor. In this newly developed course, you will learn how to navigate real-life remodeling obstacles from the construction, engineering, and design points of view. You will gain the know-how to troubleshoot existing problems, bond new materials to old materials, and seamlessly blend new trends to existing fixtures. You will learn how to transform a space and give it that WOW factor that is your style.
This innovative three-day event will encompass the 16-hour C281: GENESIS® CONSTRUCTION SCHOOL: Pool & Spa Remodeling, plus 7 hours of heating and hydraulics analysis and operations. In addition to learning how to remodel the vessel, the third day will focus on inspecting the equipment pad, investigating and exploring all heating options and combinations.
Learning Objectives:
- Navigate what can and cannot be salvaged, and how to turn them into wins for your customers.
- Transform existing structures through inventive design.
- Troubleshoot existing failures with lasting solutions.
- Discuss how you can take the project from "just an upgrade" to an expansion of your client's dreams (and your bottom line).
- Evaluate thermodynamics, the flow of heat into a pool or spa, and the loss of heat through conduction, convection, radiation.
- Evaluate the cost of operation for the various heating options including the true cost of fuels, life cycle, and replacement.
- Discuss and apply the basic principles, code limitations, and guidelines.
- Explore how to strengthen your reputation as a remodeler and expand your business.
