standards and codes

Overview

This PHTA database is maintained as it existed on July 19, 2021, for historical purposes and as a reference for pool pumps manufactured prior to that date in compliance with the ANSI/APSP/ICC-15 American National Standard for Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Energy Efficiency and which were therefore acceptable for use under this Standard.

All Dedicated-Purpose Pool Pumps (DPPPs) manufactured on or after July 19, 2021, must be listed in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Compliance Certification Management System (CCMS) database and must comply with the DOE Rule cited below.

DOE CCMS

The Pool Pump Database was kept by PHTA to ensure compliance with the ANSI/APSP/ICC-15 American National Standard for Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Energy Efficiency. This Standard was adopted directly or through adoption of the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) in multiple states. The Pool Pump Database Excel file is for builders, designers, and regulators to ensure compliance with the above Standard and Code. As of July 19, 2021, this database will no longer accept submissions. All compliance and performance information concerning DPPPs must be reported in the DOE CCMS database in accordance with the DOE Rulemaking.
